Ethics in Spell Casting: The Witches' Code

Magic is powerful, and with power comes responsibility. Here are essential ethical guidelines:

The Threefold Law

Many traditions teach that whatever energy you send out returns threefold. This isn't about punishment—it's about the natural flow of energy.

Free Will is Sacred

Never cast spells to control another person's actions or emotions. Love spells that manipulate, curses, or binding spells that remove choice are ethically problematic.

Better approach: Cast for yourself. "I am open to receiving love" works better than trying to force someone to love you.

Do No Harm

Avoid spells designed to cause harm, even in retaliation. Protection and justice spells can be cast without causing harm to others.

Privacy and Consent

Don't cast spells for others without their knowledge and consent. Even "helpful" spells can interfere with someone's journey.

Environmental Responsibility

Respect nature. Don't harvest plants unsustainably or leave offerings that harm the environment.

Personal Responsibility

Magic amplifies your actions—it doesn't replace them. Use spells as tools alongside real-world effort, not as substitutes for taking action.

The highest magic comes from love, respect, and alignment with universal good. When in doubt, choose kindness.
